Day 1 Arrival in Cairo

Upon our arrival at Cairo International Airport, Egypt extends a warm welcome through our dedicated representatives, guiding us seamlessly through the immigration and customs procedures.

Day 2 Cairo

We start to explore Cairo today with a visit to the Egyptian Museum, a treasure trove boasting over 250,000 antique pieces that narrate the captivating tale of ancient Egypt spanning five millennia, among others home to the captivating treasures of Pharaoh Tutankhamuna. We will drive on to see the Pyramids, the Sphinx, and the Hanging Church (Al Muallaqa) in Old Cairo. This ancient church, constructed in the 4th century atop the southern gate of the Babylon fortress, is dedicated to the Virgin Mary. Among its treasures are a 14th-century wall painting from the Native Church of St. Sergius (Abu Serga) and a 5th-century basilica believed to be built over the crypt where the Holy Family sought refuge during their flight into Egypt.

Our journey continues with a visit to the Church of St. Mercurius (Abu Sefein), renowned for its distinctive collection of Coptic art. We marvel at the 175 icons depicting scenes from the Old and New Testaments, alongside wall paintings, etchings, and stained glass that contribute to the church’s unique artistic legacy.

We conclude our day with a delightful cruise dinner on the majestic Nile River, creating unforgettable memories against the backdrop of this ancient and mystical waterway.

Day 3 St. Catherine, Mt. Sinai

We depart in the early morning from Cairo, setting forth towards the majestic Mt. Sinai, a journey that unfolds with the iconic crossing of the historic Suez Canal, marking the boundary between Asia and Africa. Our route takes us through the Springs of Moses, where, according to biblical accounts, Moses struck a rock, and twelve water springs miraculously emerged.

Witness the remnants of these sacred springs, where a resilient group of Bedouins still resides. Our adventure continues to the Wilderness of Sinai, where the extraordinary miracles of Manna and Quails unfolded, accompanied by the sight of seventy-two palm trees.

Our next stop immerses us in the historical battleground of Rephidim, where the Israelites faced the Amalekites. Picture the intense struggle where Moses’ upheld arms determined the fate of the battle, with Aaron and Hur providing vital support when fatigue set in. A journey rich in biblical significance unfolds as we break for lunch en-route to Sinai.

As the day progresses, we reach the serene St. Catherine at the base of Mt. Sinai, the very place where the awe-inspiring Ten Commandments were revealed to Moses. Stand in reverence at this sacred site, where history and faith converge in a harmonious narrative.

Day 4 St. Catherine, Taba border, Bethlehem

We beginn our day with an early morning ascent to the summit of Mt. Sinai, capturing the breathtaking sunrise. After descending and enjoying breakfast we explore key sites in St. Catherine, including the spot where Moses ascended the mountain to receive the Ten Commandments, the renowned Greek Orthodox Monastery enveloping the Burning Bush, the well where Moses met his wife Zebura (daughter of Jethro, the priest of Median), and the campsite where the Israelites awaited Moses during this sacred revelation.

Today wwe venture towards the Taba border, crossing into Israel. Our new travel guide for the upcoming leg of your journey is awaiting us after we passed immigration. The day unfolds with a visit to the Dead Sea, where you’ll witness the imposing Fortress of Masada. we continue to Jericho, where the remnants of the old city walls, the springs of Elisha, and the iconic Zaccheus tree await our exploration.

Conclude the day’s travels with a scenic drive to Bethlehem, where a delightful dinner and a restful overnight stay await, setting the stage for further discoveries in this sacred land.

Day 5 Jerusalem and Bethlehem

Today we embark on a profound pilgrimage as we explore the ancient Church of the Nativity, reaching out to touch the very spot where Jesus was born. We continue our spiritual journey with visits to the “Milk Grotto” and the “Shepherds Fields” in Beth-Sahour, immersing ourselves in the sacred landscapes associated with the biblical narrative.

We journey further to Ein Karem, the birthplace of John the Baptist, and then proceed to the Mount Zion area. Here, we witness the Upper Room, where Jesus and His disciples shared their last supper. We explore the revered sites, including the tomb of King David and the Dormition Abbey, marking the place where the Virgin Mary peacefully entered eternal sleep.

Next on the itinerary is the Church of St. Peter in Gallicantu, a poignant location where Peter famously denied Christ three times. We delve into the historical significance of the dungeons where Jesus spent time before being taken to the pretorium, adding layers of depth to our spiritual exploration.

Day 6 Jerusalem

We start the day by exploring Bethany and venture into the hallowed Tomb of Lazarus. You will ascend to the revered Mount Olive in Jerusalem, where the Ascension Chapel stands as a poignant reminder of the moment Jesus ascended into Heaven. We will continue our spiritual journey with a visit to the Church of Pater Noster, where the “Lord’s Prayer” is displayed in multiple languages.

Next, we immerse ourselves in the poignant atmosphere of Dominus Flevit, where the Lord wept over Jerusalem, and the tranquil Garden of Gethsemane. Witness the Rock of Agony, the very spot where Jesus prayed before His arrest, drawing you closer to the profound events of the past.

Step into the historical tapestry of Old Jerusalem, where the Church of St. Anne, the birthplace of the Virgin Mary, and the Pool of Bethesda await your exploration. Traverse the Via Dolorosa street, retracing Jesus’ path to crucifixion from the first station of condemnation to the poignant fourteenth station inside the Church of the Holy Sepulcher, where Jesus was crucified, died, and laid to rest. Enter the empty tomb and explore various sites within the Holy Sepulcher, deepening your connection to the sacred history.

We conclude this day by crossing through the old City of Jerusalem to the revered Wailing Wall, the remains of the Holy Temple of Jerusalem, reflecting on the rich spiritual heritage that surrounds us.

Day 7 Nazareth

Today we will start our journey with a scenic drive to Jaffa-Tel Aviv, where history unfolds at the house of Simon the Tanner, the very place where Peter had the Vision of the Flesh. We explore the profound St. Peter’s Church, a site steeped in biblical significance.

We continue our journey to the majestic Caesarea, where the grand Palace of King Herod the Great once stood. Marvel at the remnants of this historical site and the impressive aqueduct that bears witness to a bygone era.

We venture to the enchanting city of Haifa atop Mount Carmel, where Elijah’s cave and the Monastery of Stella Maris await your discovery. Stroll through the breathtaking Bahai Gardens, an oasis of tranquility and beauty.

In Cana of Galilee, we will take part in a delightful wine tasting experience, savoring wines reminiscent of those from the first miracle. Our pilgrimage continues to the Basilica and the Grotto of the Annunciation in Nazareth, where the Angel Gabriel appeared to the Virgin Mary, heralding the momentous news of the birth of Jesus. Immerse yourself in the sacred atmosphere of this significant site.

Day 8 Haifa, Cana, Nazareth

We start the day with a climb to Mt. Tabor, known as the Mt. of Transfiguration, where Jesus underwent a profound transformation.

Afterwrads we explore the Baptismal Site along the River Jordan, tracing the spiritual significance of this hallowed waterway. We continue our journey to the serene Sea of Galilee, immersing yourself in the peaceful landscapes that once witnessed the miracles of Jesus.

Visit the Mt. of Beatitudes, where the timeless Sermon on the Mount unfolded, offering a breathtaking view of the surrounding beauty. Move on to Tabgha, where the miraculous feeding of 5000 men with two fish and five loaves of bread took place. Take a contemplative walk down to the Primacy of Peter (Mensa Christi).

Continue your pilgrimage to the town of Christ, Capernaum, delving into its historical and spiritual significance. Experience the Sea of Galilee aboard a boat reminiscent of those used by Jesus and his disciples. Cap off your day with a visit to a Kibbutz, where you can witness dairy cows and connect with the agricultural life of the region.

Day 9 Sea of Galilee, Jordan Valley, Tel Aviv and departure

Before our departure today in the evening, we still have a lot on our agenda for this last day. First we will explore the enchanting sites around the Sea of Galilee, beginning with a visit to Capernaum. We immerse ourselves in the historical ambiance of Peter’s House and the renowned Synagogue. Later we ascend to the Mt. of the Beatitudes to relish in the panoramic view where the profound “Sermon on the Mount” was delivered (Matthew 5-7). We continue to Tabgha, where a reconstructed church stands witness to the miraculous multiplication of The Bread and The Fish by Jesus.

After lunch we board a boat for a scenic sail on the tranquil waters of the Sea of Galilee and we will visit the Baptismal Site along the Holy River Jordan, a significant pilgrimage destination. Enriched with such unforgettable memories we depart home.
